Bio
Chuck was an outstanding blocking back in the single wing offense for the Vikings, working his way to prominence as a high school football coach at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis, IN, from 1975 to 1990. During that time Chuck amassed a coaching record of 165-70-1 during his 21 years at head coach. Chuck was 145-46 at Franklin Central during which time his Flashes had a state play-off record of 35-6.
A native of Raytown, MO, Chuck played football under Coach Ted Chittwood at Raytown South High School. Chuck later enrolled at Coach Chittwood’s Alma Mater, Missouri Valley College in 1958 and was a member of Coach Volney Ashford’s football teams.
Chuck received his Master of Science Degree in Physical Education at the University of Indiana-Bloomington, and earned a Specialist Degree in 1973 from Central Missouri State University.
In 1992 Chuck was inducted into the Sate of Indiana Football Hall of Fame.
