Bio
Allen Ritchie graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1961 and was a three-year letterman in football and track. Allen was a bruising blocking back earning All-Conference honors three years and Honorable Mention All-American one year. Allen was later recruited by the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Giants. During his track career Allen was a conference champion in both the discuss and the shot put.
Allen was a three-sport letterman at Richmond High School where he earned a football scholarship at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After one year Allen transferred to Missouri Valley College. Allen later earned his Masters Degree in Education from Central Missouri State University and worked towards his Specialist Degree at Northeast Missouri State University.
After graduating from Missouri Valley College Allen taught at Richmond and Clinton High Schools. Later in his career he became Assistant Principal at Moberly High School and later served as Principal at El Dorado Springs, Knob Noster, and Branson High School.
Allen retired in July 1998 after 37 years in education, spending his final 16 years in Branson. Allen and his wife, Janet were high school sweethearts in Richmond, and have three daughters and two grandchildren.
