Al taught and coached high school for a few years before becoming an independent agent for Lawson Product where he has been for the last 26 years. During this time he has coached youth sports in his community and for the past 6 years he bas been coaching quarterbacks at the brick Township High School in Brick, New Jersey. In 2006 he was elected into Marlboro High School’s Hall of Fame. Al resides in Brick with his wife Jean and has four children: Christopher, Kate, Holly and Andres.
Teammate E.J. Narcise says, “Although I’m confident that his individual achievements speak for themselves, Al LaMura never cared about individual awards; all he truly cared about was winning the right way. Al should be recognized as one of the most outstanding athletic leaders, Valley has ever known.”
