
Tennis Teams Split Home Matches with Missouri Baptist
Marshall, Mo., (April 11, 2024)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's tennis teams hosted Missouri Baptist in matches at Indian Foothills Park, Thursday, against Missouri Baptist. The men's team finished out a 6-1 victory in matches, while the women's team fell, 5-2.

No. 1-Senior Caratti (Novara, Italy)/Freshman Sergio Martinez lost to Luca da Silva Ebenriter/Dragan Omcikus, 4-6.
No. 2-Sophomore Alecson Deschamps (Blumenau, Brazil)/Freshman Alvaro Ruiz defeated Timofey Tokmakov/Arkhip Tokmakov, 6-2.
No. 3-Freshman Thomas Desgris (Annecy, France/Sophomore Alexis Diaz (Bordeaux, France) defeated Youssef Ihab Mokhles/Nicolas Sanchez, 6-1.

No. 2-Diaz defeated Omcikus, 6-3, 6-1.

No. 3-Junior Milene Marciniuk(Curitiba, Brazil)/Freshman Deborah Mhizha defeated Jocelynn Carmody/Mia McIsaac, 6-4.

No. 1-Martinez lost to Gomez, 6-2, 1-6, 6-7.
No. 2-Brown lost to Luersen, 2-6, 6-7.
No. 3-Marciniuk lost to Carmody, 3-6, 2-6.
No. 4-Casas defeated Nina Vasiljkovic, 6-2, 6-2.
No. 5-Moreno lost to McIsaac, 1-6, 2-6.
No. 6-Mhizha defeated Azevedo, 6-2, 6-2.
The win moves the men's team to 8-5 overall, while the women's sits at 5-7.
