Wayne graduated from Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1972. Wayne earned four letters in basketball under Coach Grover Redford. During his senior season Wayne was captain of the team and played in the Eddie Matthews Memorial All-Star Game.
Wayne went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Special Education from Central Missouri State University, and began a career at the Marshall Rehabilitation Center. Wayne became Superintendent of the Marshall Rehabilitation Center in 1987.
Wayne is a member of the Marshall School Board Steering Committee, the Community Education Advisory Committee, and the City of Marshall Chamber of Commerce.
Wayne and his wife Marilyn have two children Caleb and Katie.
