Russel Moulton came to Missouri Valley College in 1968. Russel was a four-year letter winner on the Viking football team, making an impact on the defense. He received allconference honors in both the 1973 and 1974 seasons, and was an NAIA District 16 All-Star in 1973 and 1974.
From 1969-1971 Russel left MVC to serve his country. Russel was drafted into the U.S. Army, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He graduated from MVC in 1975 with a bachelor’s in psychology. Russel obtained a master’s in psychology from Central Missouri State University. He now owns a consulting business established in 1996, and is a licensed psychologist in Missouri and Iowa.
Russel says three people influenced him greatly while at Missouri Valley. Those include his psychology professor, Dr. Gray, his head football coach, Ken Gibler, and his brother, Kenneth Moulton.
Russell says his brother talked him into attending Missouri Valley College and playing football for Coach Gibler, giving the two brothers an opportunity to play football together.
