Bio

Roy graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1939, and participated in football, basketball, and baseball.  Roy lettered in and captained all three sports earning All-Conference honors in 1937 and 1938.

Following graduation Roy began a ten year teaching and coaching career at various high schools leading his teams to 18 conference, regional and state titles.  Roy’s career was interrupted by a two year service in the United States Navy in 1944 and 1945.

Following his return Roy earned his Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1946.  Roy entered the education administration field in 1952 at the Moberly Public School System and at Moberly Junior College until his retirement in July of 1977.  Roy also worked at Moberly Realty, Inc.
