Bio

Rex was a 1982 graduate of Missouri Valley College.  He was a three-year football letterman and a four-year baseball letterman for the Vikings.  Rex was a V-Club member, and was All-Conference in both football and baseball.  During his college career, Rex was All-District and All-American for the Missouri Valley College football team and was selected as Mr. Viking by the V-Club.  The title of Mr. Viking embodies the true spirit of what a student-athlete should represent in upholding high standards as an athlete on the field and as a student in the classroom.

Rex was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.  After completing his Master’s Degree, Rex taught and coached at the Gainesville (MO) School District from 1982-84, the Willow Springs (MO) School District 1984-85, and the Ava (MO) School District from 1985-1996.  Rex was and assistant high school principal from 1990-96, middle school principal from 1996-98, head football coach in 1997-98, and head baseball coach from 2000 to present.  In 1998 Rex also became the owner of Ava Parts and Service.
