Jon White came to Missouri Valley College in 1993. While at MVC, he was a member of the Viking men’s wrestling team. Jon was a four-time all-American, a 1997 NAIA National Champion, a three-year team captain, and tallied 145 career victories. He still holds the MVC school record for most wins in a single season with 45.
Jon graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1997 with a degree in business administration. He was part of the teams that were inducted into the MVC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 and 2007 for the accomplishments of the 1996 and 1997 NAIA National Champion.
Jon currently works as a territory sales manager for Monsanto Company. In 2010 he received the Monsanto Master Sales Award. In his free time, Jon enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his former teammates and friends.
Jon and his wife, Gentry, currently reside in Pittsburg, Kan., with their children, Jerrod and Gabbie.
Jon said Coach Mike Machholz was his biggest influence at MVC.
“Coach Machholz has dedicated a big portion of his life to the success of Missouri Valley Wrestling and its members,” White said. “He always watched out for us and his determination is a key reason why MVC wrestling exists today.”
