Bio

John graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.  John was a four-year member of the Viking football team earning All-Conference honors all four years, All-District honors two years, All-District Special Mention, and NAIA Little All-American honors.  John was also a two year participant in track, a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and resident house director.

Following graduation John was drafted by the Baltimore Colts and later picked up by the St. Louis Cardinals.  In 1973 John was became a teacher and head football coach at Salisbury (MO) High School, in just two years at the helm his team won the Lewis and Clark Conference Championship.  Following Salisbury John moved on to become the head football coach and activities director at Moberly (MO) High School.  John left Moberly High School in 1978 to take a managerial position with the Assoc. Elec. Coop., Inc. and is currently employed with AECIA.

In 1980 John returned to coaching taking an assistant football coaching position in Macon (MO) on the staff of Hugh Dunn.  In 1985 John helped the Macon football team advance to the state quarter-finals game in St. Louis.

John and his wife Mary have two children Jennifer and Julie.
