Bio

Herb graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1950 and played on four conference championship football teams that had a national record of 41 consecutive victories.  Herb played in five bowl games in Florida, Texas, and Indiana, and earned All-Conference Second Team honors his freshman and sophomore years and First Team All-Conference honors his junior and senior seasons.  During Herb’s senior season he was also honored with Little All-American First Team honors by the Associated Press and the NAIA, and was a Sigma Nu First Team selection.

Herb was drafted in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns, but decided not to participate in professional football.
