Robert graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. During his time at Valley Robert was a four-year letterman in track and served as President of the V-Club during his senior year.
Robert taught 18 years and coached cross country and track at Raytown South High School in Raytown, Missouri. Robert led his teams to numerous conference and district championships, and one state championship in cross country in 1970, and one state championship in track in 1976. From 1969 to 1972 Robert was voted West Central Coach of the Year and served as President of the Missouri Track and Cross Country Association in 1974-75.
Since 1983 Robert has taught at Lee’s Summit High School in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, serving as Head Coach for track since 1984 and for his cross country since 1992. Robert’s track teams were conference champions in 1988 and have won five district championships.
Robert and his wife Susan line in Greenwood, Missouri and have two married children.
