Craig graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1974 with a degree in Business Administration.
Craig earned four-letters in basketball and three letters in track and field. During his senior year Craig was captain of both the basketball team and track and field team. Craig earned All-Conference First-Team Basketball Honors his senior season. Craig was also Conference Champion in the 100 yard dash and the 220 yard dash his senior year. Craig held conference records in the 100, 220, and the 440 yard relay, and school records in the 100 yard dash and the 440 yard relay. In 1974 Craig competed at the NAIA National Track and Field Championships in the 100 and 220.
In 1983 Craig began body building that led to a “Mr. Missouri” title in the 35 and over division in 1987.
Craig owns his own residential real estate development company and is manager of the Porter Building Centers, Inc. of which his father Mack is President.
